Several provincial and local politicians joined Rocky View Schools trustees and staff to celebrate the official sod turning for two new schools in Airdrie on the very chilly morning of Nov. 14.
The K-4 Cooper’s Crossing School will have a capacity of 600 students and the K-5 King’s Heights School will have a capacity of up to 900. Both schools were announced under former premier Alison Redford’s tenure in late 2013 and early 2014, respectively, and are scheduled to open in 2016.
