Community Stories
Find out first-hand what life is like in Cooper’s Crossing.
We have lived in Cooper’s Crossing for 15 years and over those years we’ve become accustomed to neighbourly greetings as we walk the pathways, developing many friendships over the back fence.
Watching the neighborhood children grow up, the community pride and celebrations, shopping within our neighborhood, all gives us the feeling Cooper’s is our own small town.
We’ve lived in many communities but now, we simply can’t imagine living anywhere else.

“We are surrounded by the best neighbours we have ever had. Our boys live outdoors and on the pathways that provide a safe place for them to roam and explore. There are multiple parks, sledding spots and gathering spaces. We can walk to Balzac Craft Brewing Company, Seven Saints Boutique etc. We have a top-notch school within walking distance. I’m particularly biased towards Cooper’s Crossing School because I truly believe that Mr. Hennig is a world class principal, we are lucky to live here.”

“The best thing that I can say about Cooper’s Crossing is that it feels like home! My family moved here in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the pathways, green space and the incredible neighbours. Westmark captured the feeling of home for me, with their attention to detail, architectural design and genuine care for quality of life. They have created a community that doesn’t feel like just another place in the city, but a community all of it’s own. You are close to all levels of schooling, shopping and so much more in Cooper’s Crossing. This truly is a complete community.”

“My husband and I have lived in Cooper's for 17 years and have raised three wonderful sons here. Cooper's has been the perfect community for our family. Lots of beautiful parks and walking paths that we have used lots! Shopping close by and our sons only had a short walk to high school. We have established awesome friendships with many neighbours in Cooper's. Although two of our sons have moved out and our third son soon, my husband and I can not think of a better place to live and retire. Cooper's has so much to offer! It will always be home.”

“We moved to Cooper’s Crossing in Airdrie 15 years ago from Calgary and have never looked back. We have raised three kids in this amazing community and have come to value the parks, the pathway systems, and our neighbours. The schools have been amazing and have been an important community hub for our children. Cooper’s Crossing is a safe, vibrant, and a wonderful neighbourhood for families to live and grow together.”

“Cooper’s is a great community to live in! Residents take pride in the ownership of their homes and it is a very active community. What separates Cooper’s is all of the walking paths, trees and flowers that you don’t find in other areas of the City.”
Mike
“On these pathways, in the parks and outside our front door, we make connections and friendships every day. It is a place we care about and have pride in.”
Kristen Shima
“We moved to Cooper’s Crossing relatively quickly in 2011 when we relocated from Southern Alberta. We quickly realized what a good choice we had made. We love the variety in aesthetic appearance and also appreciate the architectural control of the area. It lends to a beautiful mix of well built, custom homes.
Coopers Crossing School has been amazing for our two young boys. We are so thankful that the school was built in our area. We also love the parks and pathways; and have really enjoyed being able to walk to and make use of the services at Cooper’s Promenade. Two years ago, we decided that we wanted to build a new house. We considered every lot, and every acreage in Airdrie and area. In the end we moved only one block away! We built our forever home on Cooper’s Landing and are exceptionally pleased with our decision.”
Amy Forrest
“We love living in Cooper's Crossing, as soon as I turn into the neighbourhood I feel a sense of calm. The pathways are lined with mature trees and shrubs as well as wildlife. They are also great for an evening stroll, bike riding with the kids or walking the dog. We enjoy having the shopping area close by and love the variety of stores. The kid’s parks are well planned and offer fun all year round for all ages (even the kids at heart).”
